Fill light:

a supplementary light used in photography or filming that does not change the character of the main light and is used chiefly to lighten shadows.

Ambient Light:

Ambient light means the light that is already present in a scene before any additional lighting is added. It usually refers to natural light, either outdoors or coming through windows etc. It can also mean artificial lights such as normal room lights.

Background light:

A background light is used to illuminate the background area of a set. The background light will also provide separation between the subject and the background.

Diffused light:

Diffused light is a soft light with neither the intensity nor the glare of direct light. It is scattered and comes from all directions. Thus, it seems to wrap around objects. It is softer and does not cast harsh shadows.

Natural light:

natural light photography is simply to record an image using the light that exists all around us. This can be direct sunlight, reflected sunlight or ambient sunlight. ... Unless you are strictly a studio photographer then you by default are the natural light photographer.

Hair light:

A hair light is simply a light that is used to do exactly what it sounds like. light up the hair. A hair light is generally placed behind the model and about 3 feet above the head, with the light angled down and slightly forward to strike the top of the head and shoulders.

 

Daylight color temperature at noon is 5600K, but sunlight color temperature can vary widely based on time of day and weather conditions. Tungsten incandescent lamps will appear as white(3200 K).

Also the flash used for mimic is 5500 – 6000 K...

Candid portrait:

Has to do with the subject being aware of the photographer taking a picture or not being aware of the photographer which creates aware and unaware candid portraits.

Ceiling bounce:

The reflection from the ceiling affecting the object by pointing the light to ceiling instead of the direct object.

A candid portrait is taken without a subject expecting or acknowledging the photographer. This style used in photo journalismtravel photographystreet photography and event photography. As opposed to an environmental portrait this image is captured at the moment rather than set up.

Self Portrait:

While a portrait refers to any painting that depicts a human figure, a self-portrait refers to a painting that depicts the artist that produced it. Self-portraiture, whether produced in the medium of painting or of photography, is its own distinct genre of art, like that of the landscape or the still life.

Posed: formal and informal 

 

When the focus is on the facial and the subject is aware or not unaware, but the difference between posed and candid is that in the pose the focus is on the object facial detail...

Self-portrait:

a portrait of an artist produced or created by that artist.
